A Little Bit About The
Biltmore Resort . . .
The Biltmore Resort is located in Isabella, Missouri on
Bull Shoals Lake. Our little community sits amidst the Ozark mountains
in an unpretentious neighborhood of lake homes and other resorts. As
with all of the other resorts and homes in the area, we sit high up on
a ridge above the lake. We do not have a lake view, but when you are on
the lake you will see hardly anything other than natural shoreline.
This lack of shoreline development is what has saved our lake from
becoming polluted. It also creates a feeling of total privacy. You feel
you've got the entire lake to yourself.
At the Biltmore Resort you will find clean,
comfortable accommodations. We have seven cabins, plus the "Big House".
The cabins
are arranged in a variety of settings as to sleep 2 to 9 people. The
"Big
House" sleeps 13. Complete details can be viewed on our web site: www.BiltmoreResort.com .
Each cabin is fully equipped like a small house. The kitchens have an
electric stove, refrigerator, microwave oven, coffee maker, toaster,
can opener, and linens. There are plenty of pots and pans, dishes,
utensils, silverware and kitchen accessories to make any chef feel
right at home. Or do your cooking outdoors on one of our grills. We
recommend that if you have a favorite fish frying pan or something in
particular that you know you will use to bring it along. Groceries are
available nearby. (5-15 miles)
The cabins have all been renovated recently. The
addition of screened porches or decks have really increased your cabins
space. We provide plenty of bath towels and bed linens, but we see a
lot of little ones bringing their favorite pillow along. The cabins are
air conditioned to keep you cool, and are heated for year round use.
Televisions are provided, .
In the back yard you will find playground equipment
and picnic areas. The community campfire ring makes for a nice
gathering place where all are welcome and many friendships are formed.
Kids of all ages will enjoy a match of badminton, volleyball,
horseshoes, basketball, or tetherball. Our new game room adds another
venue for fun. Serious players may wish to bring along their own pool
cue or table tennis racket. You
will also want to bring along your swimming pool toys for use in our
pool.
Pets are welcome at the Biltmore Resort. We do
charge an additional fee per day for each pet. We recommend that if
your pet
does not travel well, then maybe he should stay home. All pets must be
kept leashed and with their owner on the premises and cleaned up after.
Please keep your pet out of the swimming pool area. Pets are not to be
left alone in the cabins unless they are confined in a crate. No threat
of aggression will be tolerated.
Down in the Biltmore cove you will find our boat
dock. It is easiest to drive down to the dock than to have to walk the
hill.
The dock does have electricity, is lighted and covered. We do allow
fishing
off the dock and can assist you in just where to throw that line! There
are fish cleaning facilities at the dock. Even if you are not much of a
water person, you will find it enjoyable to sit down at the dock and
watch
the wildlife, or enjoy the tranquility. Swimming is allowed off the
dock
also. Please watch your children during all activities at the lake.
Close by there are marinas and outfitters that can
help you with any boat rentals, sea-doo rentals, boat repairs, parts or
marine supplies. Visit our web site links page for additional details
about these local businesses. Boat launching is done directly down the
road at a concrete launching site, then drive the boat around point 13
to our dock. There is ample space behind the resort for trailer
parking. We are available to assist in launching your boat if needed.
In Ozark County there are many things to do for
recreation. One of the local favorite pastimes is floating down the
rivers
on tubes. There are outfitters available to make this easy and
enjoyable.
We have historic mills that are interesting to visit, antique shops and
"junk" stores, but no big retailers or fast food chains. The country
club
welcomes visiting golfers, and there is a mini gold course locally.
Hiking,
hiking, and walking add to the many outdoor activities this area offers.
We want to help make the most out of your vacation
time. If there is anything that we can do to help, please let us know.
Most importantly, relax and enjoy the peaceful beauty of the Ozarks.
This is
a special place where family and friends spend time with each other. We
hope that you will enjoy your visit and that the Biltmore Resort
becomes your home away from home.
